The Catalina is a sturdy goat with conformation, color, and hair type as mixed as their ancestry.  Males and some females have beards.  Males grow large horns that rise fairly straight from several inches before spiraling horizontally for up to 3 turns making the spread extremely wide.  Wide spread is 30 inches sometimes reaching as high as 40 inches.  Horn length is usually 21 to 28 inches.
